This Privacy Policy explains how KEYSEC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit keysecnexus.com or use AppStudio software. We are committed to your privacy — it is built into the architecture of the product itself.

1. Information We Collect

When you make a purchase:

• Name and email address (processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor)
• Payment information (handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy — we never see or store card details)
• License tier purchased

When you join the waitlist:

• Email address
• Platform preference (Windows / macOS / Linux)
• Signup timestamp

When you use the website:

• Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) — retained for up to 30 days for security purposes
• No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics pixels

2. What AppStudio Does NOT Collect

This is the most important section. The following data is never transmitted to KEYSEC or any server we operate:

• Your app ideas, notes, or project data
• AI analysis results, code suggestions, or generated content
• Conversations with the AI agents
• Source code from your projects
• Your AI model configurations
• Knowledge base documents or RAG query results
• Usage patterns, feature usage, or telemetry of any kind

2a. AI Provider Notice

AppStudio supports multiple AI provider configurations. What happens to your data depends on which provider you use:

• Local AI providers: All AI inference runs entirely on your own hardware. No prompts, ideas, or outputs are transmitted to any external server. This is the recommended configuration for maximum privacy.
• Cloud-based providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, and others): If you configure AppStudio to connect to a cloud AI provider, your prompts and idea content will be transmitted to that provider in accordance with their own privacy policy and terms of service. KEYSEC does not receive, store, or intercept this data — it flows directly from your machine to the provider you configured. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy terms of any third-party AI provider you choose to connect.

Regardless of which AI provider you use, KEYSEC never receives your AI conversations, idea content, or generated outputs.

3. Local Data Storage

AppStudio stores all application data in a SQLite database file located at %APPDATA%\AppStudio\app_studio.db on your machine. This file is entirely yours — you can back it up, move it, or delete it at any time. Uninstalling AppStudio does not delete this file; you retain full control.

4. License Key Verification

License keys are issued and verified via Lemon Squeezy's licensing infrastructure. A one-time internet connection is required on first activation to bind your key to your machine; after that, AppStudio runs fully offline. Lemon Squeezy records the activation count per key to enforce per-tier limits. We do not collect usage data, feature telemetry, or any information beyond what is necessary to verify the license.

5. How We Use Your Information

Information we collect is used solely to:

• Process and fulfill your software purchase
• Deliver your license key via email
• Send product update notifications (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Respond to support requests
• Notify waitlist members when new platforms or features launch

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com). When you purchase AppStudio, you are subject to Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy and terms in addition to ours. We do not store payment card information at any point.

7. Data Retention

• Purchase records: Retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years)
• Waitlist emails: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Support correspondence: Retained for 2 years from last contact
• Web server logs: Retained for 30 days, then purged

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Unsubscribe from any communications at any time

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Waitlist data is stored in a password-protected MySQL database on our hosting server. We do not store sensitive financial data. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. Children's Privacy

AppStudio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Software or website after changes constitutes acceptance.
